Electronical weight sorting
After passing under the camera house where the diameter of the products is measured, each product is weight by means of a sophisticated electronically 3-point load cell.
In combination with the size statistics this allows for sorting by wall thickness or density.
Accuracy +/- 1 gram.

Colour and blush sorting
A colour camera is used to sort the fruits by colour.
Because the products rotate when passing underneath the camera, the entire piece of fruit is displayed.
Furthermore, it is possible to determine the so-called blush of non-equally coloured fruit (red value percentage compared to the lighter background colour).

External defects sorting
Special high resolution digital cameras allow for an accurate and consistent sorting of the products by their external characteristics.
The systems consists of 2 in V-shape mounted cameras, which replace the original black/white and colour cameras.
These cameras make up to 10 overlapping photos of all fruits which rotate underneath and record all defects on the surface.
The sorting computer converts these photos into a three-dimensional image of the entire fruit.
By means of the sorting software the user can make in a simple, but real accurate way, a sorting program which divides the fruits by the amount of defects. (pixels or quantity).
